Hi guys. I have just received my order on a pair of Frye boots (The logan cap toe dark brown, this style: http://www.thefryecompany.com/logan-cap-toe/d/87917)

I notice there are a few scratches on the left boot's toe cap. I took pictures and zoomed in and the scratches look like they're eaten by something hot. I can notice the scratches if I put my eyes close to the boots, about 20 inches. I can actually feel them if I run my nails through the leather.

Are the scratches / holes a defect or just the animal's scar and supposed to be normal? Should I return this pair and ask for an exchange?

Here are some pictures.

Thank you guys.

Don't worry about it. Your normal wear will fade over it, and it'll become a character mark.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
