The forum favors ties in "cool" colors like navy, midnight, black, brown and burgundy. (And often eschews ties in "warm" colors like yellow, red, and orange)

But what about the forgotten sibling: green?

The purpose of this thread is to discuss green ties. What do they work best with?

Also, post your collections and fits.

nice ties!

i like all most of the green "ground" ties. Only one I would never wear is that last one in lime green. Too light.

that is a 7 fold cotton/silk bad boy, that has a sick hand and probably ties the best knot of any tie i own and i love it. color is less light irl, but you will just have to trust me. maybe i will wear it again and try and get a better pic, just for you!

id hesitate calling any tie the best in its category, but this one is up there.

IMO, a very underrated color. Love an olive shade paired with a navy or gray jacket for Fall/Spring

Here's one from my current collection I posted yesterday:

Shibumi tie trio

Probably the best-looking green "neat" tie I've seen. Would you guys agree?

Looks like it's still available. A bit pricey though

Other than how thin it is at the knot, it's perfection.

I actually like the thin knots on the Shibumis

I think the Hober ties aren't tapered enough at the top, and hence a thicker knot

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
