When it comes to suits I've always been very conservative (boring!) and have always gone for a charcoal grey suit. I've been invited to my uncles wedding in Madrid at the end of this month and need to get a lighter summer suit as it's going to be warm! For some reason I've got a look in my head of a mid to light grey suit with tan shoes - I'm not sure exactly where this idea has come from?! I can only guess that I must have seen it somewhere and thought it looked cool!
The question is though............. is this a good look?
I picked up theses handmade tan shoes for half price (bargain!!) - they are made by John White and are incredibly comfortable!

I love the shoes however I'm not sure which shade of grey suit to go for! I've looked at lighter grey suits and I don't think they are me - I'm also concerned that a lighter suit might be limited in so far as how often I could where it.
Would these shoes work with a mid grey suit? I've seen the following suit made by Daniel Hechter - its described as a Grey 'Sharkskin'. I've tried the suit on and I really like the fit - I've got fairly broad shoulders and the jacket fitted me really well.
I've got a Ted baker mid brown belt and plan to wear this with the suit and shoes. I'd really appreciate it if some kind souls could offer an opinion as to whether this combo would look good and for good measure what shirt / tie you think would round off the look!
