Yesterday was the close of the meet at Saratoga Race Track. I only went once, which pisses me off.

I don't really know. on one hand I am worried about him- he's a great guy and an asset to our company, but I also have to do what is in the best interest of the company and let him go if it shows that he's not getting better. really sucks.
oh, and I was talking to my sibling about this trip I was planning in november and she mentioned that she'll be in dc mid-november and she'll be happy if I join her and her husband there if I push through. dammit!

:fu: if you do make it to DC, lmk.

so sad :( poor dog. at least there's star trek: tng.

The office water cooler is out of water, so I'm drinking DC's finest. Maybe it's the anti-placebo effect, but I'm not feeling so hot.

My direct finally confessed to me he's trying to get out of my department after I gave him feedback about not doing something I asked him to cover for me on (with step by step instructions) for the past two weeks.

Sorry - direct report [to me]. My staff. I guess I am rather peeved because he did not mention it and I had to hear it from his future boss and my boss that a job description was in the works.

So a document confessed to you?

P.S. I know what a report is, just that it is a ****** and de-humanising business euphemism. He/she is a person not a report.

I think you're fighting a losing battle here, Fang. I've got to say, though, I admire both your cause and your persistence.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
