Just recieved my first pair of Carmina's and they are on the Forest last. These were the Faulkner Shortwing Natural Chromexcel from Epaulet. It appears as these are just right in my typical shoe size. So I was wondering is the Forest last Carmina's widest last?

The forest last comes in 2 fittings and i believe the wider fit is the most generous carmina last widthwise.

I think the regular width forest is a great last and a good starter choice (due to the trueness of its size i.e. subtract 1 from US sizes) for carmina shoes as long as you do not have high instep. Carminas last in general, do not favor those with high instep especially with balmorals.

Good to know, thanks for the information.

I just received my first pair of Carmina boots today and I am impressed. They come up a slightly bigger then my Edward Green Galway on the 82 last but are perfect with a pair of thicker walking socks or a insole.

Farhad, are those from the web shop? And is the sole leather? If they're the webshop pair, then that cognac came out great.

is the sole leather?

Farhad,

Is the first picture the closest match to the boots true color?

Yes Joshua, the first picture is the correct colour they are much darker then what they look like in the second picture. I have to admit I have several pairs of EG, JL's and Berluti's but the colour on these boots are the best I have ever seen, this may be because the are shell Cordovan but honestly the colour and feel of the leather is very nice in the real.

I will post better picture if I can later on the weekend

There has been a lot of talk about doing a Carmina tassel loafer MTO.

I´m doing a tassel MTO at Skoaktiebolaget...PM if interested.

I´m also doing a suede longwing MTO...

Details on the longwing?

Model: 532
Last: Forest
Suede: Loden green
Sole: Middle thick (it´s like 1.5 times a single leather sole) ,natural edge
Open eyelets.

Damn this sounds good, though with green maybe brass eyelets would work? I prefer a chunkier shoe most of the time, rest of the details sound amazing. Now just need to find that 3400 SEK. I'm in for sure regardless

I was going to suggest a loafer MTO for summer. PM sent, though I don't think it could hurt to discuss it here seeing how much interest there has been in the epaulet thread.
