Those are definitely AS, on 89 or 87 last.

They are C&J on the 224 last which generally fits true-to-size.

AS Peals are marked in an entirely different way from C&Js.

Sorry, i'm a little confused.

Here's a pic of the full boot, which does NOT appear to be the same as the C&J Chiltern - they are the 2 eyelet that appear to be the AS one on the brooks bros website.
However based on the writing inside you are saying it's C&J 224 last?
It's possible these are older stock as well.

Well, yes, those are C&J. 224 last. That's how all C&Js for BB are hand-marked. Model number followed by size. Below that is the last #. They've done them this way for at least 20 years.

Also the nomenclature typeface on the heel pad is C&Js. AS uses a different, more elongated typeface.

ok, I didn't see these pictures at work, these are clearly CJ, however, you provided a link to AS boots on BB website.

Jeez CY you are on top of this stuff. I trusted you the first time about them being AS. I just wanted to make sure since it seems that there is a debate on every other shoe. What color polish have you been using on yours?

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
