I bought this suit on ebay awhile ago for dirt cheap (less than $20?). It's by Fioravanti but I never figured out whether its real. There is no label except something looks like this:

The fabric feels like cotton. There's a tag at the collar that says "Made in USA of Imported Fabric". I think the suit is fully canvassed and seems to be custom made. Could this be a real Fioravanti suit? I researched a bit and supposely they make the most expensive suits. Just curious. If anyone here can help me out, that would be great. Thanks!

They make very fine custom suits. I believe that a few years ago they began putting their name on RTW. I think this is what you have.

Yes there is a RTW line from Fioravanti. It has been around for 20 years or so. It is a rather inexpensive suit.

That product is a suit that I've seen at someplace like Steinmart or Syms, priced around $100 - $200, IIRC. I don't imagine it has anything to do with Wm. Fioravanti.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
