It's very easy to design a passive house that is unassuming and doesn't shout for attention like the one pictured. How the hell do these people think that the fact that their house is passive exonerates them? They have built and ugly and ostentatious house without any regard for their neighbourhood. Putting out that stupid sign in their yard really speaks volumes about what kind of people they are. They really are a prototypical example of the kind of Eco-Evangelist who puts off and angers the people they mean to convert.
They have a ******* yard sign that proclaims their house runs on less energy than a blow dryer. If that's not a form of self-righteous attention-whoring, Donald Trump is a Cistercian apostle.
