I did pretty well at the Hickey Freeman sample sale on Sunday, picking up three sportcoats for myself. The sale is still going on, and they had these coats in a number of other sizes, including odd sizes and shorts. There were some longs, but not many. If anyone is interested in one of these in their size, I am willing to shop for you. It would be $400 per jacket, shipped anywhere, but I would need you to decide before you send me to the sale, as it's a final sale, and I would rather not be stuck with them. You wouldn't have to pay until after, as there's no guarantee they will have what you want.

Jacket 1: Blue and cream check with tan windowpane. 93% Cashmere, 7% silk. Very light. I may wear this tomorrow, as it's going to be warm, but it's a great spring summer early fall coat. MSRP $1695. Madison model. Side vents.

Jacket 2: Grey and blue plaid. 90% Cashmere, 10% goat hair. I would bet that this fabric is Loro Piana - it's very similar, and the same percentage blend I've seen from them. Nice fall weight. Good for layering. MSRP $1595. "Sport look" model. Side vents, three open patch pockets. Keyhole lapel (oh the sacrifice!). Partial lining. Two button.

Jacket 3: Brown with brown green purple and orange plaid. 100% wool. MSRP is not listed by it was just under $1000. A nice tweed - feels like it will last forever. 3 roll 2, which isn't easy to see from the picture. Center vent. Barrett model.

Nice coats chorse. I really like jacket 2 but since we're the same size, I think I'll wait until you buy more stuff and are forced to sell it for $200 to make room in your closet

I see it's a 39R though. Is it a slimmer cut or were they out of 38R? Do you remember if they have more of those in my (your) size?

Did they have any more (assuming there were no 38)? If so, would you mind taking measurements of yours? btw, it looks like a 3B. I can see the top buttonhole in the breast pocket closeup pic. Thanks

Ah yes. I double checked and it is a three button.

I went today and they didn't have any more in 38 or 39 - I didn't see any on the first day, so I don't think they ever had more.

I'm not planning on going back, but if anyone wants to send me, these would now be $300 each, after markdowns.

I went today. Grabbed 5 ties, now $125 all-in. Not sure if they'll be reducing further tomorrow.

Those are very nice jackets?

What are the details like on the Hickey Freeman coats.

Do they have pic stitching on the lapels?

Be careful not to spill any coffee on it then or snag it on that rusty nail...

u should give me the coats, then you would stop arguing.

I still would like to know about the smaller details of the coat. I live in Australia and have never seen hickey freeman coats. Do they have pic stitching on the lapels.
