Boglioli brand??

interesting...the topic of this brand came up on my thread about a jacket at bergdorf, that may have made it. What does a Boglioli label look like, and are there different lines of this make (better/ lesser quality)?

someone was telling me about a suit in my size by this brand recently, to see if i was interested. thoughts/ comments on overall quality/ stitching/ buttonholes, comparable brands, retail cost?

They make Etro suits, if you're familliar with those it will help. Boglioli is considered to be one of the best suits out there for a relatively reasonable price. A sportcoat will run you around $900. Suits are around $1,100.

They do have some quality pick stitiching, and are half-canvassed. The shoulder is lightly padded, and they do a nice, high armhole.

I've never seen any diffusion lines.

Boglioli or Borgioli? Or are they two different brands that I am confusing? KNowing me, most likely the same.

Boglioli also has a line called COAT or C.O.A.T., I forget which. They are nice, but very overpriced in my opinion. I've seen them as low as $75 at Filene's, and would have bought but the fit was just not right. Here's a COAT jacket:

Main line Boglioli can be extremely nice. But some of the fabrics leave a lot to be desired. It's not an easy buy off of eBay, in my opinion. Though it may fly under the radar. At $200-$350, it's a great deal.

From what I've seen, they make a nice suit/coat for the money. I wouldn't put them on the level of say Belvest, but a good suit nonetheless. The new collections I've seen seem a bit more 'forward'.. denimy looking pinstipe suits, etc.

And Chorse is correct, they do have other lines, Boglioli coat being one of them.

If you ask me, I'd say Boglioli Coat comes out of the same factory as Piombo. If you compare the BC sports jackets to the Piombo they are uncannily similar; have the same buttons, same cut and brand label on the cuff.
Reminds me of Germano and Incotex.

this is a pretty typical neo-neapolitan 3B cut, shared by and large by several naples-based or naples-inspired manufacturers... not sure i would draw any definitive conclusions about origin...

From what I have seen the clothes can be very nice (particularly their overcoats), but at full retail they are way overpriced.

I have a cashmere completely unlined jacket which is great, but most of their products I have seen come with pre-cut button holes which never work for my short arms.

In my very limited experience, they are doing those drapey cardigan style SCs which I find very appealing.
