So during lunch I dropped into Target for some cat food and was walking by the men's aisle when this caught my eye. Cotton blazer, slim fitting, navy w/lt blue and burgundy stripes, 3 functional sleeve buttonholes (!!!), short length...for $34.99!! The size small fit me real well (I normally wear a 38 jacket) on the just-right-tight side so it would work with doods from 36-skinny 38. For $35 it is very much like the D&G cotton blazer I tried a couple weekends ago that I thought was great fitting but not worth the $900 tag. Great casual throwaround sport jacket...check it out if this is yer thang.

Damn. You don't have a selvage seam for an avatar, so I'll have to think up something witless and snide to say about guitars.

I'd shoot myself in the face before I'd wear a fused jacket.

I'd fuse myself in the face before I'd shoot myself.

I wouldn't ask you to help, because together we could get "con-fused."

Hardy har har, etc.

All I know is if you're in such poor financial condition that you have to eat cat food for lunch, you probably should stop buying clothing altogether.

Sorry about that. This thread is infectious.

It's the way any suit jacket is constructed...simply, where the canvass interlining is either glued (fused) to the material, or it is hand stitched (full canvassed).

now in the case of this here Target jacket, there isnt any interlining since the whole thing is just cotton.

Production of fused garments requires either tremendous heat or enormous pressure. Garment-related fusion results in the creation and dissipation of energy via Styleforum discussion threads.
