Vintage 1950s USAF Mil-Spec Overcoat

This is a weird item. I got it on ebay, thinking it would make a nice heavy winter coat for those super-raw days in boston. And it would, but it's too big for me. Despite being marked a 35R, some 60-year quirk of sizing means that it really fits like a 38R. So if any 38Rs out there would like a quirky, extremely heavy and tough, vintage overcoat with original wings and buttons, its yours for $60 shipped or best offer. Pics to follow. I am very interested, it would merely depend on measurements. Specifically the chest, sleeve and shoulders. If it fits me, I'm game for a quirky coat.

I'll post measures in a sec. I'm really surprised by all the interest in this... Ok, here we go: Pit-to-pit along the inside: 18.5 inches. That kind of implies a 37 or 38" chest. Shoulder seam to cuff: 24 inches. Shoulderblade-to-shoulderblade: 20 inches. Collar-to-hem: 40 inches.

That is my problem too. I often feel colder than most, but I think a 21oz. coat in a climate that rarely goes below 0C might look a bit odd.
