I really like the black leather Piccadilly. I bought the unlined Piccadilly in black delapre a year ago, and while it's nice, the basic black leather lined Piccadilly is much preferred and I wear it much more. I do like the black Harrow on the 61 last too but I think I'm over unlined shoes.

In mu experience with the 184, going up in width didn't change the heel much, but definitely more room on sides and front.

Yes, I would tend to agree that's a risk. Problem for me was side gaping in the D184 due to flat arches. Going from D to E with solved that and did not result in heel slippage. Perhaps I am closer to E than D but in the 202's the D width just fit better than the E

I go up a width in 184, but, comments in this forum seem to suggest same size

Sounds good in theory and I'd probably do it if I tried different sizes / widths and was sure which fits each foot the best. I believe with MTO, that EG can also make adjustments such as adding a fitting piece to give more room in certain areas if needed and also raising arch support which may...

I think it also depends on the width of the shoe and width of the shoe tree. Edward Green has trees in widths B/C, D/E and E/F. For shoes lasted in E width, it's been recommended to me to use E/F width shoe tree because this size fills out the front part of the shoe better but this does require...

Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy

I have Dovers in both DOAK and London Grain. I got the London Grain because of the versatility. It works well with jeans and chinos but also works with flannel and maybe other dress slacks. The DOAK for some reason seems to dressy but love it with dress slacks.

I recently tried on both lined and unlined Piccadilly's. The unlined I think can be more versatile than the lined and can go casual. Interestingly, I had on a pair of 986 when I went into the store and the 986, while well loved, is much more casual. I don't feel right wearing with dress pants...
