    Poszetka brand – experience?

This is flat out wrong according to the company website. Every sportcoat, jacket, suit, overcoat and trouser I checked all say "made in EU" in the product description. It is bordering on defamation, is there any evidence to it? Below is directly from their About Us.

Embracing 40 with a Wardrobe Revolution - Seeking Style Guidance

I was in a similar position, decided to dress better at 37 or so in Tokyo. At 90kg 180cm I just squeak by LL sizes for the most part. You might have a trickier run at it. What style are you going for? For suit, sport coats, tailored trousers etc. there are plenty of bespoke and MTM tailors who...

Buying my first suit for a job interview

A suit is jacket + pants made from the same fabric. Color alone does not make a suit. Black blazer is not recommended at all, especially since it will inevitably not match the fabric of your trousers. Buy a complete suit. Dark navy would be perfect for interviews. If you can afford it go...

Best way to make existing leather gloves work with touchscreens?

I've found that most leather gloves have a sweet spot somewhere that works with smartphones. Unfortunately it is rarely the tip of the index finger. One pair of mine works with the inner index seam, another with the outer edge of the pinky. Mess around (indoors) with them and you'll probably be...

    First Time Traveling to Japan

Isetan in Shinjuku Hankyu Men's in Ginza/Yurakucho Koenji and Shimokitazawa for second-hand stores I am partial to Mitsukoshi in Nihombashi but there's probably nothing there you can't find in the first two Not what you specified but all 3 Hinoyas and Americaya in Ameyoko for denim and workwear...

    The Japanese Bespoke Tailoring Thread

Bespoke in 3 weeks? Maybe a shirt but even that would be pushing it. MTM typically has lead times of a month or more with no basted fitting. Even if it were possible you'd have to pay an exorbitant amount as an expedition fee. Also tailors here tend to keep full schedules months in advance. My...

Altering an overcoat from IT 50 to IT 48 (Loro Piana Martingala)

Worth entirely depends on you. Custom can go wrong. So can alterations and buying the wrong size. I am saying if you really want this particular coat then buy it in your size. Might have to wait a year, sign up to some lists, contact LP. Unless you are swimming in cash to where $6300 is chump...

Winter Boots Recommendation for a Pilot

Pretty sure he's referring to the color, not a specific brand. Lots of makers offer color 8 cordovan. IMO dark brown or a deep burgundy would go better with everything you listed apart from the black pilot suit. Even then dark brown or burgundy would be serviceable.

Altering an overcoat from IT 50 to IT 48 (Loro Piana Martingala)

Seconding @gimpwiz For that price you could have a coat made for you. Altering something thrifted or reasonable RTW is one thing, spending thousands on a coat expecting to make major potentially ruinous alterations to it is another. Spend big on things that fit right from the start.

Jacob Cohen Jeans - Worth the hype?

For less than $400 you can get Japanese denim straight from the source. Search for Hinoya or Americaya, or even Denimio.

How do I get this weird stain out of my polo?

If it's all cotton try shampoo with a bit of rock salt. Wet the area first, put a little shampoo on it, massage in, then sprinkle salt and rub with fingers. If all else fails lemon juice works on white cotton, no clue about colors. Test all methods on hidden area like under the collar first.

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

Not sure where else to post this. I lost a button on a William Lockie shawl cardigan today. The problem is it is the small button at the top, the one that closes the 'lapels' for added warmth, smaller than the main buttons and the replacement. Any recommendations for replacement Lockie...

the biggest nerd ever needs help,, PLEASE

Spier and McKay Casual Oxford shirts

Too tight in the body. Lots of pulling at the buttons, especially the bottom buttoned one. Material softens over time but IME the overall fit does not change. I would resell and size up or switch brands

    Why are loafers…

-look good -easy to wear -can be dressed up or down -go with almost anything -comfortable -no laces to break -iconic A good pair of loafers will change your perspective on footwear

    Loafers to a wedding?

Ask the groom. Failing that, black captoes. Boring is preferred for a wedding. Attention should be on the bride and groom, not your outfit.

    The Overcoat Thread

20% polyester To a certain extent you get what you pay for in tailoring. You can probably find a coat similar in price and qualitt at Uniqlo.
