** Quintessential Crockett & Jones Thread ** (reviews, quality, etc...)

Quick question regarding fitting: I wear a UK 9.5 on a 325 last, with the fit being good, but relatively relaxed. Should I wear the same size on an unlined loafer in 314 last?

Drop them a note, they are relatively prompt in responding (2 days or so). I had a similar query regarding the weight of the gun club check and they confirmed it's 421 gsm, which struck me as being on the lighter side considering the cost of the coat!

I love these old photos you post in various threads across SF. Thanks for sharing. In my mind it was an era (appreciate that 'era' is perhaps a stretch as these photos cover a decent timeframe) where good tailoring and materials were designed for every day life. The fit is so relaxed, yet...

I love that coat so much and it still irks me to this day that I passed it by!

That was so on the money I'm wondering if you're Paul Pogba's stylist...?! Perfect footballer mood board right there.

A decent tailor should be able to do that no problem.

Yes, I think the comments on the value of the product are spot on and it’s something I should’ve mentioned in my earlier post. I don’t believe S&M has any rivals now regards to value-to-quality.

I always wear mine out. Tucking it in would be a push for me. I’m 6’1” and wear a large. Depending on your proportions and the trousers you’re wearing then it may be possible.

I just received the long sleeve knit polos. Initial observations are that the wool appears to be finer than last seasons iteration. The fit is also ever so slightly slimmer too. Most importantly the large collar has been retained. All in all an improved refinement in my opinion.

I have frequent bouts of body shaming myself, after my jeans dry, only for it to rapidly dissipate once I begin wearing them again!

FWIW I pre-ordered 2 long sleeve knits - which were estimated to ship on 27th October - and they shipped yesterday!

For the pre-order items do we have a timeline when they will ship?

Those are good points, but I wonder to what extent it's a trend being pushed by manufacturers? Any luxury brand can now turn out a generic looking low-profile sneaker - made in some middle income country that carries just enough gravitas to convince the customer that the brands quality isn't...

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a custom balmacaan. At the risk of asking this again: do you just select your normal SC size? (with an appreciation that it'll be ever so slightly looser given the nature of the overcoat!)

Good effort from everyone sharing their photos of the Ulster in the flesh. Perhaps the increased familiarity has me made a little more comfortable with it, but it remains a bold statement piece to pull off. For now I'm sticking to my slightly more sober DB overcoat. Would be great for someone...

    They’ve responded stating it’s 421 GSM. Is that sufficient…?

That’s class. Looks amazing. Beautiful piece. It’s obviously a bit challenging for S&M but I’d love to see mock ups of the cloth in the MTO section.

    The Official Dieworkwear Appreciation Thread

Years ago I was in Japan and picked up a pair of jeans at a time when I wasn't that fussed about clothes. They were the typical 32" waist I normally go for, but every other element of the product was unforgivingly tight and exceptionally slim in comparison to the same size of the same brand...
