Help me select a new CD transport/player

I've recently upgraded my integrated amplifier and am now looking to replace my CD changer. My current setup is pretty basic, and I'm not interested in anything more than two channel stereo. I had a nice, somewhat high-end 5.1 set-up before and quickly grew bored with it. Current setup is as...

    Paul Stuart Custom?

Thanks. Jacket came out beautifully. I will most likely return for more. Mark is a class act and insisted on extra fittings to get everything right.

    Could go well with seersucker

    Paul Stuart Custom?

Thanks! Yes, he did mention to me about his buttonhole person. The ones I saw looked quite nice. I thought the fit was mostly spot-on with the exception of the shoulders, but it was hard to see where the drape will be, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it's shaping up.

    Paul Stuart Custom?

Thanks for the insight. My main concern at the first fitting was that the shoulders were a little too extended and Mark agreed to take them in a hair. Everything else looked good. Mark has been very professional throughout the process and a pleasure to work with. He's clearly passionate...

    Paul Stuart Custom?

We're you happy with the result? Also, thought it was bespoke? I'm going for a 2nd fitting on a jacket there soon

    Scent/Fragrance of the Day thread

SOTD: Royal English Leather. I've had this bottle for over 3 years and have maybe used 10% of it. I like it but am rarely in the mood for it. Nice on a rainy day when you're not going anywhere though

    Scent/Fragrance of the Day thread

You're probably right. It's weird, but I have no problem wearing Mitsouko, which is my go-to scent, or even Shalimar, but No. 5 does strike me as too feminine

    Scent/Fragrance of the Day thread

SOTD: Creed Royal Oud. I've sampled this three times now and have never gotten it. My wife told me I smelled like a cheap hotel shampoo. It seems overloaded with Angelica. I had to scrub it this afternoon. SOTE: Chanel No.5, borrowed from my wife. I would wear this in public if it wasn't so...

    Scent/Fragrance of the Day thread

Yea, I didn't think it was worth the price. I thought it lacked subtlety as well when compared to Mitsouko Interesting. Might try it again then. My wife hated it though, despite somewhat liking Mitsouko.

    Scent/Fragrance of the Day thread

SOTD: Mitsouko Recently tried Roja Dove's Diaghilev, which seemed like a pumped-up Mitsouko. It projected a little strongly for my taste and there was something about it that seemed almost too rich. Has anyone here tried this?

Eidos Napoli at Pitti Uomo 85

Thanks; that's helpful. Does the chest swell out at all above the waist? Or is it more like Kiton, etc without much curvature in that area?

Eidos Napoli at Pitti Uomo 85

Some of the colors and cloths look quite nice. I especially like some of the green sweaters. Quick question:From looking at the jacket worn in the photo, it looks to be relatively shapeless. I'm not saying that it lacks waist suppression, but that it seems to lack shaping in the chest, etc. Is...

    Scent/Fragrance of the Day thread

Hmm, interesting. I do find it to get cloying in the drydown even in cooler weather. Maybe it's the sandalwood/vanilla combination they use? Today, Antaeus

    Scent/Fragrance of the Day thread

I've been wearing Antaeus for the past few days. I forgot just how good this is for cooler weather. Made a switch to Egoiste for today. Back to Antaeus tomorrow. Anyone have opinions on Egoiste? In theory, it should be right up my alley, but I've always remained indifferent to it. I don't...

    whnay.'s good taste thread

This thread is great and has convinced me to make my first attempt at posting photos on styleforum; apologies for the poor photography skills. I'll try to do better with the iphone camera next time. The shirt is pale pink, not white. Criticism/comments much appreciated, though I will note in...

Completely missed this amazing thread until now. Is that the navy chalkstripe from the oyster book?

    Scent/Fragrance of the Day thread

Daytime: Bois du Portugal for the last few days. This one works pretty well for work, but I'm just planning on using up the bottle and moving on. Heritage has much the same vibe and seems richer and more sophisticated to me. Habit Rouge strikes me as the one to get if you want an oriental...
