What are your favourite cities and the cities that you hate?

In the past 12 months, I have spent four weeks in Tijuana, BCN. MX. I love going to the beach and eating prawns, eating Chinese food in the Zona Centro area, and enjoying the real Caesar Salad (where it originated at the Hotel Caesar on Revolution Avenue in 1927). I also enjoy eating lobster...

Men's Hats: A Discussion Thread, Questions, Opinions, Suggestions...

That's dirt cheap. With proper care, the hat will last for quite some time. Make certain that you buy the proper size. (At that price I'll bet that they're "blowing out" their stock.

Mine is made in Mexico from Toquilla palm (low grade 3) but it is still of Toquilla palm. A little mist may not hurt it, but don't let it get soaked.

On December 1st, I'll be 67. Please don't remind me of how the cold will affect us. ;) (I resemble that remark). Not fun, is it?

Anyone that doesn't adjust his hat by grasping the brim has been watching too many TV programs. Any hatter in the world would tell you to grasp your hat by the brim to present the crown from collecting dirt and grime. This is the fastest way I know to require sending your cover to the...

Men's Hats: A Discussion Thread, Questions, Opinions, Suggestions...

I just returned from Mexico and didn't see anyone other than myself wearing a Panama Fedora. Jennystuart180: I know that the Fedora was originally a hat worn by women during the final decade of the 19th century. (It was the name of a play that made the hat famous). I hope that this...

I think I hate San Francisco.

People don't crap in the streets in Tijuana. The store owners I know are some of the greatest people. I stay in a nice hotel with air conditioning, new toiletries, fresh towels, and clean bedclothes (daily), as well as cable television, Wi-Fi, a Continental breakfast, and marble-tiled bathroom...

I think I hate San Francisco.

About a month ago, I passed within 100 miles of San Francisco in Interstate 5. On the afternoon of the 21st, and on the afternoon of the 31st. That's as close as I care to get. Think of San Francisco as a whole (hole)... I DO!

I think I hate San Francisco.

The problems facing San Francisco are self-generated. In the immortal words of Walt Kelly (creator of the comic strip opossum Pogo) "We have met the enemy and he is us." California's hedonistic attitude and failure to address criminal and civil problems lie squarely upon their own shoulders. The...
