To put it simply, yes it does. Chinos or slacks would be congruent with this "dressy casual" or "business casual" aesthetic. To me, this is a similar concept to sneakers with suits, or those hybrid dress shoes / sneakers you see everywhere these days -- oxford upper, sneaker sole. I'm opining from an urban perspective, espadrilles and sandals really aren't suitable for out-and-about wear in a city. Don't worry about the inseam (length). This is a quick, cheap alteration at the tailor's, or you can simply cuff them. The angle of your photos are not ideal for assessing fit, but they all look fine. Sounds like the Lee's Rider is the best for you.- rjc149

Gucci Loafer (not horesbit) for tuxedo/Dinner Jacket

Desperately looking for 100% cotton chinos
I would recommend Jack Donnelly. Their flagship chinos are 100% cotton, fairly substantial 8.5oz twill, $150 unhemmed. Can I wear this suit jacket as a blazer?
American here. I wouldn't be able to tell that jacket apart from a sport coat, and I can easily tell when a suit jacket is being worn as a sport coat. Corby trouser press - are they worth it?
Leaning toward this conclusion myself. I honestly didn't see the 'value add' this device purported to perform over periodic ironing. It takes up real estate in my bedroom, too. I 'field-stripped' it by removing the front panel -- some metal bar held in place with a tension screw popped back...- rjc149

Yes this from Corby, but you can also install an ironing board topper. I read some other post from a guy who installed 3mm thick neoprene by stapling it around the heating coils... I may go this route, since the neoprene will hold up better/longer than the open-cell foam. I'll update here...- rjc149

The foam lining the back panel deteriorates over time, creating weird ripple wrinkles in the trousers. I’ve had mine for about 8 years and the foam is gone. Yes, it does. That's why I'm thinking I could have the seat taken in just a bit, or maybe have the inseam go a little higher into the crotch to shorten the back rise a bit? I'm just worried that will come at the expense of comfort when seated.- rjc149
