I think you are correct on this front. Perhaps this is my "spent $2k on the "wrong" jacket" mind coming forth and isn't a correct representation of the quality of FCL as a brand and that no leather is better, just better for each individual.- ReflectiveMaterials

Yes, both RMC and FCL use proprietary leathers from Shinki. Pehaps FCL like a flatter leather with less noticeable grain, or they do not get as prime of skins as RMC / Freewheelers gets. I don't know if it is any NYC store exclusive, but I noticed it wasn't included on their website.
